Our Campus
The Blue Mountain Beckons……..
Known for its soul-warming quietness and scenic beauty, fun and adventure, Quiet Corner Campsite is an excellent place for Retreats, Youth Camps and Conferences.
The Quiet Corner campsite is nestled at the foothills of the Nilgiris mountain Range in the heart of the famous Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. Here one can capture the true spirit of the forest and wildlife and experience deep serenity within God’s creation.
It is the most economical and perfect getaway for the families and groups, providing excellent food. Over the years, thousands of people have visited the Campsite and made good use of the facilities.
Sightseeing
Transportation can be hired for sightseeing, watching wildlife and night rides. Over 50 species of birds have been spotted here. There are several picnic spots around and one can also visit the famous Ooty Hills, Gudalur and Coonoor, hilly areas known for their breath-taking natural beauty.Vehicle Safaris
Take a ride through the jungle and experience the adrenaline rush through the slither among the bushes, silhouettes of a would-be-predator and sudden sighting of an exotic animal. Chase and if unlucky, be chased by your game.
Safaris are available in the form of jeeps, vans and elephants in Theppakadu. A jeep could fit eight persons at a time and a van could hold 25. But the ones atop an elephant which can hold four persons is the most exciting as it can take routes within a jungle that cannot be accessed through a vehicle. Usually, a vehicle safari ride lasts 45 minutes.
Animal and Bird spotting
The animal life in this forest area includes the Macaque and Common Langur, Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bear and Python. Besides the Giant Flying Squirrel, Sambar, Wild Boar, Elephants, Mouse Deer, Spotted Deer, Hare, Porcupine and Mongoose will also capture your attention around the campus. Mudumalai Tiger Reserve is very diverse in birdlife and suitable for bird watchers both experienced and novice. Over 50 species of birds have been spotted here.
